Oil in the Air Box

Driving home last night I noticed my car was smoking, thinking the head gasket could have gone but the oil and water is fine. Checked the air box and I have oil sitting in the bottom, what could be the problem?

maybe a blocked breather pipe

I know this is a stupid question, but is there just one breather pipe on the car.

one breather pipe that goes from the engine to the bottom of the air box. just pull it off and see if its blocked maybe. mine spits out oil all the time but maybe cos ive got a new filter on mine

Well I put a Green Cotton panel filter on friday but that wouldn't do anything would it? The pipe doesn't feel blocked at all.

i think there is two mate not actually sure what each is,av a look at this to see if it can help you identify them

i was thinking about my engine but thats only a 1.4 8v so i dont know what yours is or how many pipes are attatched

i have the same problem , breather pipe splits oil all the time , and when i took it off the air box i notice that when the engine is idle, the pipe is pressing some air , not smoke , but there is a pressure out of the pipe, is it normal , or the pressure is coming from my internal engin?!!
