Just wondered if anyone has heard or know of any oil pump failure.

I've been thinkin about the parts i can replace while my block is being stripped and this is one of those parts.

Any thoughts? Hooch, cupra_matt, bill?

Oil pickup pipe for sure, the gauze gets clogged and causes low oil pressure, this is common.

The oil pump itself should be fine.

Pickup pipe part number is 06A 115 251

seen a few 1.8 20v t mk4 golfs with oil pump failure! was a problem known to vw and audi dealers but not really that common in the seat world. They aren't as exspensive as u'd think either think i've got 4 or 5 brand new genuine ones at the unit possibly
