How do most people go about fitting the strut braces?? Do you drill the suspension strut turrets and use a nut and bolt, or do you use a tap and make a thread in the turret?

Also does fitting the strut brace require removing suspension??

Cheers

i had a bit of a nightmare fitting my front one, but i just drilled holes in the strut, (slightly smaller than the screws supplied), then just bolted it all up. the only problem came when we found out that my struts had loads of what seemed like pointless screws in them. we had to cut pieces out my strut brace mountings to get it on, so it eneded up looking a bit less pretty than id hoped. it fits well though, and is nice and solid. you don't need to touch the suspension, nothing should hit anything. so basically its just drill holes and bolt on tightly!

Sounds good. So that leaves my wanted list looking like this:

Front + rear strut brace
20mm rear spacers
mk3 cupra exhaust
Drilled Zimmerman discs
Padgid FR pads

Hmmmm, can't wait for the summer holidays to start so that I can be earning some proper money again

OMP front and rear strutbraces turned up today, you do need to drill the holes but its pretty straight forward, youd struggle to mess it up. ill fit them saturday if and when i sort my angles out. and take some pics of course

i drilled and tapped my towers - easy but getting to the ones at the back (nearest the windscreen) was a ****ing nightmare and i am missing one on each side - six months in and no shearing though?!? I would also get underneath and hammerite the hole to ensure they dont rust through £££ but i am a lazy arse
