as for how long is left on the pads after the light comes on, the only way is to take a look as this can vary. The wear sensor is on the near side only i think. The inside pad tend to wear faster than the outer pads, so if you want to check the remaining pad, id take the wheel off to check both sides properly.
i can get a set for £100 posted from a tuner im mates with, may get them a bit cheeper if there are a few, (mods please dont delete i dont work for him just getting a good deal for members)
ive got ds2500's an way better than brembo when cold and as i recall not much more expensive or where they cheaper carnt remeber but dude get them there mint
DS2500's are cheaper then the Brembo originals and ALOT better. The DS2500's don't come with the wear sensor though so you have to join the 2 wires together that normally plug into the new pad sensor which is only on the nearside.
i feel robbed haha
i get very good price on my bits through work so il stick with standard ones.. you can use ibiza cupra r pads. they are brembos without the wear wires.. 6kl 698 151 they are a bit cheaper
Equally braking is as important as going, and front pads suffer somewhat on the 'R' cars. 10k miles out of a set of fronts seems about fair before the warning indicator lights up at around 4mm of pad depth remaining. The Brembo's cope with upto 300bhp so even modified cars have no problem stopping. OE pads are very pricey - £130'ish. You can retro fit Ibiza Cupra pads (no wear indicators), or others recommend EBC or Mintex offerings which deal better than the OE spec at high temperatures.
