Overtightened oil filter!

Get a pipe wrench on it and give it a good seeing to.

Try getting the engine hot before you try removing it. The rubber seal will soften and in theory making it easier to remove.

Thanks rich, finally got it but had to cut the filter and then one of the sharp edges cut through the main alternator cables and caused sparks. What should have been a simple task took me over 3 hrs
