this proly sounds real stoopid, but is it normal for there to be a little mechanical noise when u lift off the accelerator quickly, i only heard this cus i had the stereo and the fan off lol

i dunno really mate, what sorta speed you doin?
if all else fails turn your stereo back up :D

anyone else?

heard this noise, its when ure driving along and u take ure foot off the gas quickly and theres this sort of disengaging sound,im sure im being silly and sure this is normal. I do need some reasurrance tho

just went out in mine noe mechanical clunk, this just a newb question but it's worth checking! whens the last time you checked your wheel bolts? could cause clunking?

wheel bolts can be loose lower arm bushes are split or transmission and gearbox faults cause clunking noises!! i have a slight cluck as my lower arm rubber seal is split :censored:

are these thing easy to check yourself rash, i do have a clinking but it's a very low speed when slowing to a stop with clutch down or out of gear compleatly. would like to get an idea of whats wrong before the dealer tells me it's all fine :(

it is very easy to check! jack the car up and put axle stand underneith remove the wheel in doing so obviously feel that none of the bolts are loose! then at the end of the lower arm is the ball joint this can sometimes split causing cluncing noises like mine :censored: it is located under the steering knuckle and the boot is the bottom side of where it connects to knuckle to check driveshaft visualy check the rubber gaitors for leaks and splits can cause noisey c.v (constant velocity) joints do this both sides! these are first of many checks that can diagnose cluncking noises!

hope this helps mate
