Part throttle hesitation / missfire 6krpm in 3rd

Hi,

my 1.8T which has been remapped has an annoying issue.

it hasnt always done this pre or post map.

in 3rd it sometimes misses at 6krpm, but you can drive through it.

also, under part load the car hesitates, but is fine at WOT.

does the same with an N75F and N75J.

any thoughts?

Normal unleaded, Tesco 97, V-Power.

You shouldn't be taking revs to 6000rpm on a remapped car with normal unleaded fuel. Will be pulling like a mofo. The hesitation may be your car reverting into limp mode. You would then notice a noticable decrease in performance afterwards.

Normal UL fine for off bost driving, but if you want to use the loud pedal properly, you need to be sticking 97+ron in there. (Given the fact your car is remapped)

Either that, or coilpack/spark plug problems.

N75 would be to blame for boost surging, uneven boost etc

I dont give it any death with normal UL in, only on v-power. It was merely done to test to see if the issue was related to fuels or not.

I'm replacing the plugs this week.

as said, the issue lower down is there with J or F valve.

dont fancy changing the coil packs lol

well im replacing the coil packs tomorrow.

Still the same.

I've had the map removed and the car is fine again. Im not convinced the map is the issue though...
