passenger side window electrics broken

my window on the passenger side is broke, i think it has come off the runners of the electric window mechanism as i can still hear it trying to work, iv got the window up and taped with duct tape but wondering how difficult is it to try and repair this myself anyone ever had to to similar cheers ion advance if anyone has any advice

Hi, This is a fairly simple job to do. The guide below will get you through most of, if not all the way to doing it yourself. The part from what I hear can be quite expensive though. Get a quote from a dealer, if they are expensive, I'm sure there is one on ebay for about £60. My window failed when I was in Spainand the whole system cost €35!

hemelbear as part of it you will need to remove the 'ancillaries carrier' if this in on a toledo mk2 you may have some issues with the seal disintegrating as you remove the ancillaries carrier, you may on the otherhand replaced the seal and therefore have no problems. take a look at andy's guide on leak issues as well while your at it!
