Hi,

I have an Ibiza 03 1.4 100bhp

The passenger window has fallen into the door frame.

There was a bang and the window went down and wont go back up again.

Its like the holder that moves the window and removed the window.

The motor still goes up and down but its sounds like something is caught in it.

Is this a big job to fix and will it be expensive?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I know nothing about cars so excuse my ignorence.

Whats that

The motor connects to a cable that runs around the door (its mounted to the back of the aluminium panel in the door.

The cable has two plastic clips which are fixed to it, these are attatched to the window. As the motor goes around the cables and pullled and thus the window moves.

Either the clips or the cable breaks and the window drops.

Thank.

Any idea how much this cost to fix?

I am in Dublin Ireland.

sounds to me as the two holders on the window regulator that grip the window using the 10mm bolts has ungriped your window and has simply fallen out will just need re positioning in the two holders and the 10mm's tightened up again :) if you take the door card off and unflap the two rubber peep holes and move the window up and down ul see the runners through the holes :)

or as the seat tech said the regulator needs replacing or repairing :)

The cable has snapped.

Got the window back up again and holding it with some wire as it requires to take the whole inside off as there is no hole in the inside to stick something in to hold it up.

Thanks for your help

Yes.

Going to order it tomorrow morning.

Hopefully they will have one in stock

My window rattles like hell over bumps, could the clips be broken?? I know these can be replaced separately.

Money i'm trying to save!!

But your right, its only money!

My parents kidna sussed mine wasn't standard, spent too long in the garage coming back looking lower and different wheels! lol :)
