wierd things keep happening to me........ First i get done for speeding by a camera cunningly desgised as a tree, then i get kicked out of my house and now this!

Went last friday to my local dealer to get an lcr splitter, got it, picked it up, fitted it (it looks wicked!) and paid for it... or so i thought!

checked my account this morning and they've not taken anything at all out and thats been a week! I paid by switch, do seat have a longer time period to take out money or am i just a very jammy person?

if that wasn't enough, since i got my car, everytime i change gear and press down on the accelerator i get a cool sounding tishhhh noise, is this normal or should i get it checked out? It does sound cool its gotta be said, the harder you press the gas the louder it gets, only for a second or so but it just goes tishhhh.... is this normal or am i having another mare??

Please let me be lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Some places take upto a couple of weeks to take the money out of your account when you use switch. A petrol station near me does the same.
As for the tshh sound, on a non turbo car this might indicate a leak somewhere on the inlet system maybe, or on the exhaust.
Maybe its just how the 1.2's sound, ive never been in one so couldnt really say

you could do with a bit of luck by the sound of it!

take a pick of the camera disguised as a tree, i'm sure that would create an interesting discussion!
as for whether or not its legal? :ban:
i thought speed cameras had to be clearly visible, thats why they put the big reflective yellow paint and patches on them iirc!

No they dont have to be yellow, only if the local council are keeping the money to themselfs. If they are letting the government have it, they can be hidden, grey, green or anything like that. The only legal requirement is that there are warning signs within a certain distance of the cameras [:@]

the sly :censored: :censored:!!!!!!!!! [:@]

the camera was behind a tree on both sides of it, suprised it saw me!

as for the 1.2 noise, i don't think there's a leak as its just been serviced.... wierd!

I dont think the sound is a problem.
My brothers 1.2 makes a similar sound and he says its done that since new and its been in for 2 services since bought so i wouldn't worry about it unless you start loosing power

yep... that's a normal sound in the 1.2's. The best is reversing whilst parking in front of your mates.. just push it quickly that extra bit and you'll see all looking at ya! If they'd ask... just feel proud :)

You can generally hear the 1.2's 'sucking' when you blip the throttle - they're quite loud in that respect - I expect this is what you're hearing

Would this sneaky camera be anywhere on the a5? I ask this as my folks live in wolverhampton and i cut through visiting from oop north along the a5, dont anna get caught out :D...
