pedal box snapped

No chance of getting the pedal box taken out, welded, reinstalled and a new cable for £65!! I'm 95% it would've been welded in situ.

thats what i was thinking, i saw how much fuss you went through on your guide, would of been a lot more labor!

My local vag specialist quoted half a day's labour! That was when I decided I was changing it myself!!

well the car was there from friday, not sure how long it took to order the cable in tho!
ill have a good look 2morro, hopefully its not bad...

When I enquired at the garage I used they charged a full days labour so it was something like £350.

A nice sunny day laying on your back with a rewelded pedal box and a £30 clutch cable is the way to go worked for me! Even better when your mum keeps bringing out tea for you.
