I got about 260 miles to a £35 tank ebfore the red light came on, sitting at 40mpg on the motorway and the odd heavyfooted burst :)

Sounds poor to me, my friends M3 gets more than that!

do u mean yellow light? id be worried if the red light came on :s

u can add it up for yourself, 40mpg doesnt equate to 260miles

should be looking at over 300miles to a tank, but then 35quid wont fill the tank up without there being abit in there already, so how much petrol did u use for 260miles

my comp sits at around 27 most times. btu then it doesnt go on any long journeys really.

(side note Flash your pm box is full, just neds to know if you want me to come down and have that ecu , if you could pm me please)

£35 of fuel gets me about 250 miles.
Unleaded i get avg 28 gal
Optimax i get avg 32 gal

It cost me £42 to fill up on Optimax but my tank was empty! I dont normally run it that low and try and fill it up just after the orange light has come on but i wanted to see what i got!

The time before filling up this time i got 297.7 miles and that was after some hard driving and being on a Rolling Road ;)

i seem to get 260 miles per tank with mixed driving - and usally sueeze in 41 ltrs of fuel. when i travelled to the airport recently (constant 60mph on motorways) my 168 mile roundtrip dropped my fuel needle to just below 3 quaters of a tank, which i thought that was pretty good.

£20 I put in on wednesday and got 120 miles. talk about lead foot!

Yeah but if it just put in £10 or £20 then it goes well quick but if i fill it up and do motorway driving straght away the needle doesnt move for about 70 miles, if i drive hard from filling up i can get about 40-60 before it moves

I drove back from Cornwall last year which is about 280 miles, with normal Unleaded in the car and still had a bit over quarter of a tank left ;)

When the orange light comes on how many litres/miles you meant to have left because it seems that the needle is miles from empty when it comes on!

iv done about 40miles on the light...theres quite abit left in it but u shouldnt rely on it by any means

i always remember GTi festval last year i drove to santa pod, done a couple sprints and drove back all on one tank, was around 350miles for the day in total but it def got abit scary around swindon area and i limped home basically (note that it was also F1 GP that day so traffic was terrible in northampton)

sound ok to me flash.
i mean if thats about £1 per litre, its 34 mpg... not bad, given you booted it a bit...

also, you saying the M3 gets more to a tankfull? well it is a bigger tank...

is this not a good time to say i just got 442 miles out of my last tank full on my LCR?
very chuffed!
