petrol flap

got a problem with my petrol cap flap, when i press the release button it makes the noise as if its popped open but hasnt actualy realesed so have too put a bit of paper in too wedge it open which is pretty
has anybody had this problem before if so any ideas what the problem is or how too fix it???
any information would be much appreciated

Mine always takes two presses of the button to open it.

Mine wouldn't open last Xmas running on fumes. Luckily I managed to get to the local dealer and they fixed it on the spot - needed a new relay. Warranty job so I don't know the cost, but they had to take the boot apart to get to it.
