Bought the car in April...

Found that I had a lot of Saxos, Puntos and Corsas racing away from lights and getting right up the back end as often as possible...

Decided to make it into a 1.2SX look-a-like...

Changed chrome grill and silver plastic mirrors for plain black ones...

Front After:

Removed FR badges from pillar (before photo was taken), swapped mirrors (as shown in 'Front' view) and changed alloys to Mk5.

Back Before:

Removed TDi badges, swapped rear lights to standard pre-facelift. Also 'Liverpool Seat' logo, though I would still recommend them, I didn't want their sticker in my window!

Back After:

Then got some p-torque goodness... Stage 1 courtesy of Will.

Wow!

That mod path proves you are one of the few people who has the balls to go subtle rather than rebadge up to an aspirational model. I've seen all sorts of cars recently with fake 16V / GTi / S / RS badging who are pretending their car is something it isn't!! The sort of people who'd stick socks in their Y-Fronts (male) or push up bra's (female), trying to front they have something they don't!

I approve; well done. Should raise a few eyes now you're mapped too!

Would love to have the cash and car to do this !!

It really cost very little for the cosmetic bits...

Front grill - £20 from dealers. Sold chrome one on ebay for £10
Mirrors - £20 from the dealers. Sold silver ones on ebay for £12.
Lights - Free. Swapped with another member on here and got £30 my way.

Dental floss to removed badges - 60p from ASDA
Warm water - ?

Alloys and tyres - £311 from a guy on ebay. Looking to sell original FR ones for about £160?

The majority of the stuff has been paid from the sale of the item it replaced.

The tuning bit costs slightly more, but it's all worth it. Apart from the Cupra intake. That's not worth it!

Overall, tuning and appearance has cost about £500.

good figures on p-torque too! no flat spots!!

maybe put a zimmer frame in the back, and put some P plates on the back!

I mean to get a FR in the first place !! lol
I'd say jus get a "noisy" backbox for it and a big SONY vinyl for the rear or summit to make it chav !!

I got the FR in the first place 'cos the dealers sold it very cheaply!

I was going through 5 petrol tanks a month in my 1.4 Fabia (which was awesome, and I sometimes wish I'd have got a VRS. Sorry guys)

I drive 70 miles a day to work at back (70 round trip, almost all motorway) and 55mpg sounded tempting.

I've always liked the idea of sleepers, and I just had to. My sister has a 1.4 sport, so I pretty much copied that.

There are a few small give-aways that eagle-eyed members may have spotted:

Honeycomb grills on the front,
Exhaust (obv),
and if you look very very closely, you can see on the plastic pillars were the FR logos have been removed.
