nice lookin car mate

im doin my boot light tomorrow i tryed lookin as you said im running mine of the rear light but dont want it staying on all the time so im fitting a rocker switch under the trim out the way to turn it on and off when i v done

didnt the switch work that you fitted in to the rubber bung ? good idea tbf

yea that what im using atm to switch it on/off. it taken a while to fish the wire down the boot but i need to find another permenant live somewhere.

i have the two cables goint to the switch (1 for each leg), its just a push-to-break switch from maplins (£1.59 or something), i had the cable already so i have two cables from switch down inside of boot lid, then i have a terminal block connecting the live for the siwtch to the Grey/Black cable (lights switch live) and then i have another cable going from the terminal block to the boot light and another from the boot light to the earthing point by the pink connector.

Went or rokkor ones. Got them for £80 lol. Insurance won't insure any modifications so yea a big problem!!
Lol.

:ban: If you crash into anybody, your insurance is void and they have to pay out of their own insurance. Really not fair on other drivers. See if you can change insurers, it might not cost much to come out of the contract, my direct line one only cost me £26 to come out of.

Yea I know that but policy is out on 4th July anyway. Then I'm going on modified insurance. I already enquired into canceling my policy but I have to pay it all off before I can do so!

You could still crash between now and July though it's 4 months away. If you can't get insured for them just now, i would take them off. If you don't, i'm glad i don't stay down you neck of the woods!

Howcome yours has the reading lights?? Was this an option on the car or did the pre-facelift come as standard? Is that bulb LED? If so do you find it stays on a bit when you have it in the door mode and everything is shut??

I have fitted the mk4 golf interior light mate. It's a straight swap so was easy enough.

Also yea it's the LED one and yea mine does do that and I thought I was the only one :D lol. I need to get some led readers bulbs soon but don't know any decent ones that don't blow every two weeks.

I'm insured with RAC but going with the good ol' Adrian flux modified insurance in July.

Modified insurance is the way to go bud

Im with admiral, hope they do insure mods!
And yeah i agree they seem good for young drivers with modified cars.

Lmao nah don't know how low but I'm scrubbing so gotta raise it. I already raised it once today. I'm running 16's with 205/45 Tyres on it. Drop is about 1 and a half inch off bottom thread and no adjusters in back.

Well thats how mine will be sat when i get my wheels and coilies on!
Shame you have to raise it! Looks good as it is.
