Picked up my LCR yesterday

Got it yesterday, after buying it last saturday. Thoroughly impressed with it. I never knew these things went so fast.
I was amazed at how responsive it is sitting at 70-80 on the motorway, in 6th, and you can just put your foot down, wait for the woosh, then off it goes, without needed to drop a gear.
Once it hits 3k, it's got a hell of a woosh. Do they all do this? At first i wondered if i could have a boost leak, but then thought the ECU would pick up on it and throw a light up on the dash if it had. Sounds to be from behind the steering wheel area of the engine bay, if you know what i mean. Rather than over by the airbox side. Is this just because thats pretty much where my turbo is? As far as i know, it's completely standard.

Would put a couple of pics of it up, but my post count isn't high enough yet. lol

Another thing. Could someone remover their battery cover and take a pic of where the battery live lead runs from the terminal. My cover doesn't seem to sit on properly, and when i looked into it, i think the live cable is in the way.
Cheers

Hi mate, you picked a good car
I found the turbo reasonably loud and even more so now with a green panel filter and 3" ducting.
Turbo is at the back of the engine and slightly on the passanger side, and where my noise comes from.
You might just want to check the hose from the turbo to charge pipe as these do fail when older and might explain the drivers side noise.
Otherwise spending time on here will make your money disappear when you start modding it;)

Do you refer to the charge pipe as the one that comes out of the turbo, round the left hand side of the engine, and heads off away down to the first intercooler? I think thats what i'm thinking of anyway.

No you will have to take the cover off, check around the pipe clips.
While your there have a look at the DV to see if it's been changed to a Forge one.

if it hasn't, what does it look like? just a crappy looking black plastic thing or something?
As far as i'm aware, it's all just standard. The rest of the car is anyway

definately get a 007 but the pipe i was on about is a high temp elbow.
It joins the charge pipe to the turbo and is normally shrouded by silver heat resistant material
you can see this on the pic and the pipe is a pinky colour
