Got and fitted the polo rear wiper to go with the front bosch areo wipers.

Thing is, fitted it all fine all lined up etc, but when you turn the wiper it gets about 2 thirds round and the bolt cap pops off??

Anyone else had this? Does it need trimming in anyway?

Cheers.

Yeah it does click when l push it on... so l can't see that being a problem???

I take it there is only one sort of cap that will fit this polo arm???

mine popped off when I fitted mine (I think mine was a lupo gti one tho)

anyway, you just need to trim the cap down with a stanley knife or sanding tool.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but everyone always says about searching.

Fitted my rear wiper over the weekend and the cap pop's off when the wiper is turned on. Am wondering how much was need to be removed off the cap and is it straight off the bottom or on the clips that hold it down.

If anyone still has the guide or wants to post it up that would be a great help.

I sliced a good 2-3mm off the bottom edge with a stanley blade to stop it popping off.

My aero wipers are crap though! The rear one skips on the up-sweep all the time now and the fronts squeek if they're not wet enough! Not worth th £90+ I spent on fitting them when all the previous testimonies had said how super-silent and great they were!

yes you need to trim a fair bit off, just do a bit at a time until it works ok.

Like glanza says though, the rear aero wiper is more for looks than practability....mine was shite. My fronts were ace though.
