I have a 2011 Seat Leon FR 2.0tdi and today I started my car and a POP noise came from the engine after a few seconds of my car just starting up. No smoke or anything unusual happened just that noise got me a little suspicious. It wasn't in the morning too the car had been started up a few times within the couple of hours.
The noise was not anything loud it was like a medium level noise that came from the front end of the car. It basically sounded like a mini balloon bursting.
The car has been doing a lot of miles lately, yesterday I did 400 miles and the car is usually on local runs about 15miles or less a day.
Mileage of the car is 76,568
Today was my first time I heard the POP but my brother in law who also drives the car told me that he hears the POP now and then maybe after a month or so the POP only happens
Does anybody know what that sound could be?
I have also read that it could be spark plugs on the car that are going.
