Power Steering EEEK

Well my power steering light keeps coming on, I turn car off start it again and it works fine until next time I start it, the steering also goes very heavy any ideas?

low fluid level, hope you havn't got a leaking rack

BTW fluid tank is under the battery with a green cap

I had a go of checking this last night, it seems to have fluid but I cant tell how much that green indicator sucks.

have you been through any big puddles or had the presure on the front of the car round the fog lights for too long as the wiring is down there for the pump and this gets damp and stops the pump working. this happen to me again this weekend and i am still waiting for mine to dry out.

I accidently spilled some water down there when I was filling up screenwash. (I was in a hurry didnt have a funnel lol)
