Problems using a laptop for VAGCOM when my desktop PC works fine!

My vagcom cable is recognised when testing on vagcom via my desktop computer, but when i do the exact same process on my laptop, vagcom displays the warning 'interface' not recognised'.

Any suggestions?

I've sat down for hours trying to work out why, i've compared all the settings on my desktop computer to my laptop, and the same with vagcom, but everything seems as it should be!

I even took my laptop to PC World to query it with them...they blokes were none the wiser.


Any suggestions really appreciated.

is it definately set to the right port? right drivers set if usb also?

Yep. Tried all ports on the laptop. Tried changing the ports which vagcom is accessing. Tried chaging the ports in device manager 1-4/USB.
