Pete

This may well have been asked before but are you painting the plastic sill, splitter and rear valance body colour?

Oh bugger...

Just as it was all going soooo well.

I've got the Brembos all bolted up to the car now. Just got to go round all the bolts and nuts I've had undone to make sure they're all done up, including the hard to get at inner CV joint ones...

Anyway go to get the goodridge Ibiza R hoses I bought out to just work out how to route them and just double check they'll work before I get a helpful chap to come over tomorrow to get everything plumbed in... They're too long

Just measured them and they're 107cm long :-o

So tomorrows effort at getting the car MOTable is off, and it looks like the Cordy now won't be at GTI International either

I'd agree there - the ICR goes from the smae mounting point on the chassis leg to the bottom of the calliper

keep hold of them pete, they will be long enough for my
bike.
would bill not be able to knock you up a set in time for inters?didn't he have someone making them other than SEAT/goodridge?

And just to add another kick in the balls... It looks like the drivers side bearing is shot :( No matter how hard I try I can't get it any tighter, but there's still play in it. So unless that side is just really difficult to tighten up, it looks like the bearing is knackered without even turning a wheel

Really don't want to have to remove all that lot again :(

Yeah did that mate. The only bolts I can't do up are the stearing ball joint bolts. No idea how you tighten up a bolt with no way to stop it turning

I'm going to try another hub nut later, I've got a few spares, just to see if I can get another one tighter and it's not something funny with this one.

Well I think I've worked out why the hub nut wouldn't tighten any more but I still had play in the bearings... I decided to take off the hub nut and try another one just now got that off only to find the fat washer behind it is in about 8 bits... :-o

So now I need to try and get another one of them...
