the fuel quality won't make or break the MOT.... if the engine is in reasonable tune (and I think it is...) then it'll be fine on emissions

it'll be the sillies, or things you can't check that it'll do it on.

SHE PASSED!!! :funk:

Couple of advisories, one of which was "All passenger seats removed"

So got tax on the way home so she's road legal again :funk:

Will get the new plate put on her during the week, no time to get to the local DVLA office today so that will have to wait.

:D

Hopefully the plate will be sorted tomorrow :)

Took a few pics today, not the best as I didn't have my tripod and the car wasn't very clean but they didn't come out too bad...

recognise that location..... from the pics you took of the R !! ;)

Project Cordy is looking very nice indeed..... those wheels and the LCR Brembo's round it of nicely !!!

The delocked door handles I picked up today will look rather good to ;)

How's she running?? Bet you've been out driving her all day !!! :D

Don't worry the Mk3 front end and respray ( colour coding the sideskirts and rear bumper valence ) will happen eventually. But that's the expensive bit :(

Yeah same location for the pics, but TBH they suit the Cordy more due to the colour I think. The last pic is now my desktop, I recon it looks very west coast what with the sun and all. :D

She's running spot on no problems with the engine, ticks over perfectly and runs nicely. I'd forgotten how much fun it is driving a car that likes revs :D

Just a few things that need sorting.

First off is that damn oil leak she's had for years, but at least I know roughly where the oil is running down from now.

Then there's the arches... She's rubbing loads so something has to be done about that. I recon the arch liners are gonna have to go, but not sure about the rear, the place it's catching might be a problem.

Next job... Stop the arches from rubbing...

Fronts rub on the outer arch where the liner bolts are and at the top. So I think just pulling the arch liners out will sort that problem out. Not sure on the rears though, it seems to be catching on the rear edge just at the top of the bumper. Which means I can't space them out any more than thaey are now without fixing that problem... Will work on that one :D

Been investigating the oil leak tonight, and it doesn't look good, I think it's the head gasket

First pic is from under the car, looking up past the driveshaft on the drivers side.

And these three pics are on the passenger side of the block, at the top just where the head gasket is and to the left of the exhaust manifold.

Only seems to be coming from that one corner, and I know it's been like this for about 5 years. But I want to get this sorted.

How much is a head gasket gonna cost me to have done? I'm not sure I have the skill for that one myself :(
