Queries on Suspension bounce and Exhaust Fumes

Ok

In general I'm happy with the engine. It pulls smoothly and quickly and sounds good.

However the ride is uncertain at best at high speeds on Country roads. I took it for a blast yesterday evening in Warwickshire, between Coventry, Nuneaton and Rugby. Now these roads aren't perfect and there are a LOT of bumps and undulations in the road. As I was driving I felt the need to back off a lot as the LCR would bounce over every bump and undulation leaving me feeling as if it wasn't as well planted as it should be. Also torque steer is a real issue under harsh acceleration in 2nd or 3rd !! I feel like I need a camel to sit on my bonnet

Is this related to the "creakign suspension" issue I've been having over speedbumps?

What I really need is a fellow Coventry LCR owner to take me for a ride in their car over the same sort of route, then compare it with a ride in my own.

Bottom line is, I just don't know whether its "Normal" or not!!

Now, the exhaust. How much in the way of visible "steam" does yours emit when its pretty cold and you accelerate normally? Mine seems to put out quite a bit until its warmed up. Is this normal?

Cheers

Sounds like it rides pretty much the same as mine... don't know if it's 'normal' though. Had the car from new & it definately feels more 'sloppy' on cornering & less planted in a straight line than it did when it was new (18 months / ~20K ago).

As for the steam, on a cold day there's enough steam / vapour from mine to fog up the whole back window for the first couple of miles.

Interesting. So it sounds like mine is normal then. I guess in time I'll get accustomed to it, and my confidence at speed will improve.

The steam thing is the same as mine then. Must be "normal". I guess when the CAT is heated up properly the steam disappears.

Thanks
