Had my flywheel replaced yesterday as I had a nasty tapping noise when the car was idle, new flywheel sorted that and it now idles perfectly :)

Whilst the gearbox was out I had the Sachs organic clutch disc fitted to replace my OEM disc, I already have the Sachs uprated pressure plate.

So now i'm running the full Sach's organic clutch setup and a brand new dual mass flywheel.

I've noticed when booting the car from 1800 - 2800 revs, i'm getting a slight vibration through the accelerator pedal. I can also feel this when moving away in 1st from stationery.

Spoke to the garage who fitted it today, they assure me it's perfectly normal and it's caused by the lack of damping springs on the Sachs organic friction disc.

Apart from that, the clutch pedal and bite feels totally OEM.

So, a question to those with the uprated Sachs clutch, is this vibration normal?

btw...Car is a PD150 Golf Anniversary.

Had my sachs clutch fitted yesterday, I'm also getting the vibration in first when pulling away, put it down to the clutch bedding in, no idea really though. Anyone know?

Pretty much taking it easy, so let clutch come up properly & completely before gently accelerating. Avoid hitting the peak torque at the lower end of the rev range.

I'd do that for at least the first 1000 miles. It's pretty much not putting too much strain on it to start with, to wear it in a bit, then once settled you'll have a nicely behaved clutch, and you'll be able to enjoy the torque a bit more :)

I just bought a Sachs Sinter Performance clutch for my Ibiza Cupra TDI - I get it mountet shortly, this clutch should hold 485NM :)
