QUICK HELP mk2 2E engine code

could someone please measure something on the engine for me please. i need to know how long the dipstick lower plastic bit needs to be. It on mine is a yellow bit of plastic which the dipstick sits on/in, i need the engine end not the dipstick end.
could someone please measure it, as i cant top my oil up as i dont know hw full it is cos someone has snapped it off.

on the picture its the 'dipstick house' bit that i need the measurement of.

Sorry I can't help you as my 2E is at the garage at the mo. However, the plastic bit you've shown is renown for snapping. You can get a new one for about £1 from GSF. Just need to soak it in boiling water before you try to fit it - otherwise you run the risk of breaking it again when you fit it.

thing is ive just changed the headgasket and i really want to know if it is running ok. ill order the part anyhw if its only a quid but i still need to know a length.

Can't you measure the one on your 1.4?

will it be the exactly the same? the dipstick on GSF states its for 1.6-2L
if its the same though i can do that

its not the same as my 1.4 looks different entirely. it wot start now anyway but id like to get the right amount of oi in it first.
