Quick HID/Lighting Thread

Just a quick thread on behalf of T. Spark

Need to know the following fitments for bulbs

Main Beam (I belive are H4)
Full Beam (H7???)
Sidelights (I'm assuming 501 same as the Mk3)
Number Plate (Again, I'm guessing same as the Mk3 size)

Can someone please confirm?

main beam is H1 and dipped is H7 if twin units, H4 is one bulb that does both!

I can shed some light on this

I knew the H7's were the deeped beam as above.

Are the high beam H3's then?

On the lower spec models the single reflector fitments are H4's

Whilst higher spec models come with the twin reflector which are H7's and H3's then

See I thought that, but as my knowledge of bulbs is limited, i'll go with the votes

You sure they're H1? The Mk3s are H1 on full beam!

The main beams are 100% H1.

It's the same as the Leon Mk1 and the Ibiza Mk3.

Autobulbs Direct website has the fitments but they're the wrong way round.

I just checked the manual for the car... it also states they are H3.

Strange... I'm sure I fitted H1's to mines but could be getting mixed up with my Toledo.

i've had both pre-facelift and facelift Ibiza's with twin halogens, and each car is H7 dipped beam, H3 main beam
