Quick Question! Not Sure!

Hi all im new here umm just got a seat ibiza gti cupra 16v in yellow.
now i changed the steering wheel today cos other was looking crappy now this probly does not have anything to do with this but when i turned the ignition off and the new steering wheel was on the digital display stayed on even when i locked the car. i am unsure if it is meant ot be on or not can someone please tell me cos i dont wanna get up and have a flat battery

yes the digital display is still meant to be on

You probably never noticed it before with your old steering wheel

will that not drain the battery then? how comes it stays on? whats the point? so even when i lock the car and it stays on thats right yea?

it is constantly on. when you start it up the display that shows the milage will change momentarily. dont actually know the point of it but it doesn't do any harm!

there all right. my cars digits are on all the time. my golf was the same to

the digits change at start up to tell you if you need a service or not

yeah i know i was saying i dont realise the point of them staying on all the time

right well now i know so cheers,,,only prob i got now is cos i changed the wheel i got the airbag light constantly on cos i removed it lol oops!

no idea how you sort that out. disconect the battery and hope it sorts it self out maybe. im sure someone has the answer the'll be along shortly to tell you lol
