Edited the title, as some folks might want to find out later on ITV3.

But Plato had some issue on the grid. Mechanic was a bit slow getting off the grid, so Plato got a drive thru penalty, after lap one. But is currently fighting back thru the field. 7th as i type this.

Turner had a big off at the chicane with Matt Allison's Toledo. Leon looks mullered at the front, hopefully not too much damage and it will get out for race 3.

Allison's Toledo was thrown fully into the air by the tyre wall impact, it was a huge off! Both drivers appear to be ok though.

Huge off just now for Kelvin Burt in the Porsche race.

He got turned over on lap one, and the car rolled several times then leaped the crash fencing. Narrowlly missing both the camera man (who stayed in focus) :D and then 2or3 marhshalls on the other side of the fence.

Kelvin appears to be fine and has been taken out of the car, and no doubt will be taken off to hospital for checks. Though he was talking in the car with the doctor, and his helmet was off. Lucky escape, bet he's sore in the morning.

But it was fairly spectacular to see a 911 leaping the crash fencing while rolling too. :wtf:

Watching live on Setanta Sports, but most likely it will be shown on Motorsport UK later in the year.

Yes. Absolutely incredible crash. Not seen anything that bad for years. How no-one was hurt was incredible. Good job it wasn't a spectator section for sure. Marshalls will no doubt need a clean change of underwear too.
