Race injectors for the PD130

Hi,

I keep bashing into a wall so it seems in getting hold of someone able to buy uprated PD(130) injectors 'outright'.

Allard seems to have them for sale at 975 GBP + your old injectors in working state, which would be rather a crazy amount of cash as I'd have to buy new injectors to start with :finger:

KermaTDI is another potential source but he doesn't appear to be around much on clubtdi nor his own site at the moment (possibly due to the holiday season).

I know custom code HQ was looking at uprated injectors, has this happened?

Basically I'm after options here, I have propane which is extra fuel anyway, but I want lower EGTs which you can achieve by having larger injectors as well (shorter opening time to get similar fuel in = EGT drops).

I've got two problems here really, one is not having enough time to ring people, forums are much better for me as I can leave browsers up/open all day at work, whereas I can't be on the phone all day

Allard never responds to emails so I'll have to call them sometime, but if there are others out there which can 'do' PD race injectors suitable for the PD130 engine, please drop in some links/contacts/your experiences with them.

Good news, we can get the PD130 race injectors, not a problem

They retail at £930+VAT and we do require the old injectors in working condition.

We require the old injectors back so they then can be modified, if we were to use brand new injectors the cost would be much more than £930!

If it works better for you we can supply you with the race injectors and you pay the surcharge - when you have fitted the new injectors you can then send your old ones back to us and we can credit surcharge

Unfortunately the surcharge is not a cheap one £450.00+VAT

Making the total £1380.00+VAT - £1621.50inc VAT

Some serious money been made on these injectors I reckon. When I changed a PD injector recently it was well below the RRP, and that was through an intermediary. So I cam imagine what they are being sold at to the trade.

I looked into the extrusion process when I had a spare set of pd130 injectors. With me supplying my own injectors to be honed, I was looking at around £200 per injector. Apparently the extrusion process has to be accurate to thousandths of an inch (or something like that - seriously fine anyway)

Personally, I'm going to see how far oem injectors will go, before making any changes on the injectors front.

That’s right the process is an expensive job! The injectors are also rather expensive at £377.30 each as an exchange unit or £499.80 each as new units from the dealers!

So £930.00 is on the cheap side if you ask me

thats a redicious price for each injector outright, if you look at it this way are seat saying 4 injectors in your car make up for 1/8th of the total cars price then?

what exactly happens to the injectors? are they just bored out to allow more flow?

Totally agree! RRP on the injectors from dealers are far too expensive (those prices were +VAT too), if only they could be like petrol injectors!

Unfortunately I cannot disclose any information about how the injectors are modified.

With the PD Diesel upgrades we do not carry out these in house as we don't have the equipment - we have been asked not to give out any information on how they are modified buy our supplier.

Yep they do uprated PD injectors of all types. They also happen to be the to$$ors that are pissing me about with my spare PD140 injectors, had three promised delivery dates so with nothing to show. Getting another set and sending them to another company i know of as bored with waiting, i need more power. They are a very good company though with a good reputation for doing this sort of thing with a site in England but they send the injectors to America for the homing process.More info for people interested.
