racing stripes...

Hi to everyone, i'm new to this site as i'm just about to buy my first leon cupra r!!! I was wondering if anyone could help me please. I am interested in a particular car which has racing stripes as fitted by seat from new ( two silver stripes over the roof and bonnet on a black car ) does anyone know how easy it would be to remove these and in doing this would the paintwork underneath be ok? I think it would but has anyone come across these before?

Paint work should be ok, there maybe marks left over and the paintwork might need to be machine pollished to get it back, but might be lucky and no marks at all. I'm not sure never removed racing stripes etc from the paint.

Theres another bloke on here with a LCR with stripes from the factory.....I think they were painted on and not vinyl?

Interesting. Must have been some special customer originally to get them done at factory?

the stripes were done at the factory the original bill of sale it says seat sport COPA STRIPES £1475

these apparently are offered to the european market as COPA is a limited edition car sold abroad?
