Morning All

Disconnected the Battery yeserday, and the radio asked for a code. I put the code fromt eh radio handbook in, but it didnt work? I treid switching it off and on, and then it just said "SAFE", so I turned the radio on, left it 1 hour, and it came up with 2000. I then put the code SEAT gave me, and held the program button, yet it DIDNT DO IT? It locked itself again... have a 2 hour journey at 1pm, and I can't stand it without the radio.
****************

Thanks!!!!

Make sure you aren't entering the code using the number keys.

iirc you use the channel seek < & > to sellect the numbers and press set each time and it moves onto the next.

If you get it wrong you have to wait 30 mins till you can try again.

Just remembered mate. It's not the seek buttons you use it's these. see below

Switch the radio on, The display will briefly read "SAFE" followed by "1000"

Introduce your code by pressing number keys 1-4

eg, if the code was 1734 you would not press the number 1 button as this is already showing "1" in "1000" press number 2 button seven times, number 3 button 3 times and number 4 button four times.

Hope that makes sense

Confirm the code number by preessing and holding the "PROG" key until it beeps and the display reads "safe"

Hope that helps

Cheers

When it asks for the code, the code displayed starts as 2000, its not 1000 for some raeson. So I do what you just said, and hold the prog key, but it just brings up a number 1 next to safe.. If I enter it again it brins up a 2, then stays "safe", then I cant do anyhting

Its annoying me, and I dont think it can get sorted?

You only get a short window of time to do it or it goes back to 2000 which is sooo anoying.

It's been a while since i've had to do mine but i remeber disconnecting the battery, re-connecting then being sat in the car eagle eyed waiting for the 2000 to change to 1000. you only get a few minutes until it goeas back to 2000....arghhhh!

You need to take out the keys from the ignition, press the button to turn the radio on, leave it on, lock the car go do something for an hour, then ebter the code and press scan.
