Hi guys, I have a rattle/buzz noise when doing clutch control or pulling away or when digging into the torque band in gear, It sounds metalic.

I don't want to take it to a dealer even though it's not a year old yet as they will probably beat all 4 corners off of the bumpers and make fag burns in the seats.

For those that are interested, I had a look today, I removed the engine under tray and spotted that it was the clutch pipe that had a broken clip and was rattling. I have cable tied the clip and it's all good now. The pipe runs from the bedal box area then along the bulk head and then along the near side chassis leg. It was rattling in this area.

Thread title edited.

Hmmm this sounds like the sound that I am getting from my car at the moment.
Does it sound like its coming from the engine bay or behind the engine? Mines sound like something has just worked loose and is rattling against the car. I only get it when I first pull away at low speeds like you.

It sounded like it was coming from the near side wheel arch area from the outside but it sounded like it was coming from under the passenger seat, maybe the passengers footwell or under the glove box area from inside the car.

Sounds like iv got the same problem, but i will leave it for the dealer to do as they need to have a look at the mileage counter thing too as it seems to be adding more miles then i actually do!

I had a similar rattle when pulling away and up to 30 mph. The noise was difficult to pin down but seemed to come from under the passanger seat. The dealer eventually identified a loose exhaust. After tightening the noise disappeared.

Hi - thanks for the tip. I did take it to a friends outfit and they said the exhaust was fine - but worth a second opinion I think! Not sure if it might be a loose heat shield. Will have to get round to taking it to the dealer... happy days :)
