 Hi all, few little updates.

Fitted my NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs and 2.0t coilpacks:

I'm yet to really test them out so I'll let you know what I think in due course:)

I've coloured the clear hose in on the side of the catch can so it now matches:

Just thought I'd say a massive cheers to Brett (MOROalTT), I queried with him about few engine cover bolts he has fitted to his TT (these). I dont need the full set because I dont have the TT battery and washer/coolant bottle covers. He help me out and although his company Whanab dont make them he managed to get me the couple I was after.

Quick question mate. Why fit 2ltr coilpacks over the standard items???

They allow you to run a hotter spark, they should enable me to advance the timing on and they're more realible, http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=318293

I'll get some logs done in the future to see if they've helped reduce CF's

Forgot to mention I've gap the plugs to 0.035, I know most are running 0.04 with these but I though I'd give this a go (its what RobDon was running)

That engine bay is pure perfection. Errrrr get those ugly wheels off now :ban:

Cheers mate:D

The wheels aren't staying;)

Looks good :) I thought you weren't supposed to re-gap Iridium plugs? I have the same ones, is it 0.4mm gap as standard, do you know?

I mean most are running 0.040 when using the 2.0t coilpacks. The plugs aren't gapped to 0.040 as standard, I hope its ok to regap iridium spark plugs

It can be done but there's a risk of damaging the iridium element - if your car is running fine then you got away with it :)

The idea behind iridium plugs is that they can cope with a much larger gap than standard so in most cases there's no need to regap them. Some logs showing correction factors will give useful info.

I'm a bit disappointed as I've not got the wheels back yet, they've had a problem with the supplier so wont have the lacquer to finish them off untill next week so I'm still running the awful loaner wheels

Gave the car a clean up and refitted the splitter. I'm must have only used the car 4 or 5 times since it was last washed but it was filthy.

Haha, looks different matey :)

Wheels will be back soon enough I'm sure. Looking forward to seeing them.

My car is filthier than that and I didn't clean it today as I was nursing a hangover - fail. Aiming to do it next weekend and a few more jobs.
