Thank you for your replies. I will "visit" a specialist.

Would you advice on how to find a local AC specialist on the internet (I'm in south london)?

Without sounding a little daft why not try your local dealer?

We know the cars and common faults with them and can probably locate the fault alot quicker, we also have the diagnostic kit to talk to the air con ECU and see if anything is a miss there.

Do you mean a Seat dealer?

Some people adviced me on a local garage but I don't know any and I don't want to risk a non-professional "specialist", however Seat dealer would be much more expensive I assume.

I tried typing "Air-Con recharge south-london" but it only displayed kwik-fit...

Dont assume anything, an hour of a dealers time might well work out cheaper than half a day with someone who doesnt know the system.
