JUST BEEN TO A LOCAL GARAGE WHICH SAY THEY CAN REMAP MY LEON FOR £300.

ITS THE 20V TURBO CUPRA 180BHP AND HE SAYS I WILL GET ABOUT 35-40BHP INCREASE AND AN INCREASE IN TORQUE, NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT TORQUE IS THOUGH SO TOOK LITTLE NOTICE ON THE INCREASE OF THAT,

IF I GET THIS DONE WILL I ACTUALLY FEEL OR NOTICE ANY INCREASE IN PERFORMANCE

WHAT I MEAN IS WILL IT BE FASTER OVER ALL OR QUICKER OFF THE MARK ETC...

you should do but it depends on the remap or the people doing it.

Stick to one of the furom sponsors or a VAG specialist. £300 is'nt really that much cheaper than most of the sposors on here.

I think you will find that a custom code is £312 at the moment (sale on). They are one of the main remapping companies - one of my mates had his S3 done this weekend and it seems like a really nice improvement and its nice and smooth too.

NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT TORQUE IS THOUGH

Horsepower is how much power a car has and Torque is what accelerates a car.

Would also recommend Custom Code remaps have phase 1 on my LCR currently.

Gents, can i ask - as i said earlier my mate had his S3 done - it seemed really nice i have to say. Obv the S3 is 4 wheel drive and feels very planted even under hard acceleration - is the LCR 225 still "sensible" to drive normally...i mean its not wild all the time - my only concern with all that power going to the front wheels is that i will spend all my time in a cloud of smoke...

Prob just looking for reasons not to spend the money - cant find any good ones!!

The LCR can handle the power well, If you replace the Dog bone mount them it will cope even better.

Just going to back DK up and say i'm very happy with my remap from AMD. But as long as its someone we've all heard of (in a good way) then i'm sure it will be fine and you'll love it.

It's the lower engine mount. It will help to reduce wheel hop and wheel spin, it also make the engine and gearbox feel more solid, it does cause a bit of extra vibration at first but it will settle down, and the price for this little marvel ........ about £17 + fitting

Having my replaced (Dog Bone) along with getting my Revo stg1 hope its worth the hype this weekend.

big difference is when you go to overtake... no more dropping to 3rd/4th - simply leave in 6th or go to 5th and fly past anything - massive pull at any revs in any gear

had my 20vT done at Jabba for £300 - it now kicks out 222bhp

Not a remap, just a map. The Standard Map is what you get with the car, the one installed at the factory.
