There have been a lot of threads about how and what to remove and/or disable the EGR.
Let me make some points clear.

- You can close the EGR tru VAG-COM for about 85%.

But only on the:

*Audi and VW the "old" 90, 110 and 115hp engines.
*VW Golf 4 ASZ 09/2002 .
*Seat Leon Topsport ARL 10-2003

- You cannot close the EGR with models:

*Leon and Toledo 110 pk starting modelyear 2004 with the new software.
*ALL THE 130, 150PD ENGINES STARTING YEAR 2004!!!

So how do I "close" the EGR for 100% without having any engine lights stay on.

If you want to be sure the EGR is closed and you wont have any light blink on your dashboard.
You can ask your dealer to shut of the EGR in the software during your remap. If its shut off in the engine software (different to VAG-COM) the EGR will be closed 100% and you wont have any warning lights.

There are other methods, but why make it hard when you can make it easy.

Sorry for the bad english, I hope this helps some people.
