Really Embarrassing Fog Light Question

I've finally got my Altea!!! Bought a 1.9 Ref Sport in Lluvia blue, had her for about a week now and she's lovely!

I do have one question, and in my defense the manual hasn't turned up! How do you turn the fog lights on? I can see my light dial, turning to the right turns the front lights on, that's fine, but the symbols for the fogs are to the left?? I've tried gently pulling on the dial to see if that turned them on, didn't seem to and can't turn the dial to the left. Can some kind person please let me know what I should be doing?

the fogs will only come on when the side lights are on.

try turning them on and the pull the dial

That did it, thanks very much.

I knew it'd be simple, I'd tried pulling it out with the main lights on, never thought to try with the sides on.

Unless they've changed it then you can pull out the switch with the main lights on.

That would mean you would have to turn the mains off to parking lights if it suddenly became foggy.

One gripe I have is you can't have the rear fogs on independent to the front.

You can't put fogs on with the lights set to Auto, maybe thats where the confusion comes?
