Rear Brake Upgrade

Anyone upgraded their rear Altea brakes to the 286mm FR ones? i'm looking some part numbers if this is possible from somone that has already done it.

The Altea Brake pages on ETKA are incomplete and the Leon and Toledos ones are confusing to say the least.

I have looked at an FR Altea and the Brake Carrier and Caliper is different than the TDI Sport. so I gues the whole lot would need to be done.

Anyway just a post to see if anyone has done this yet.

Did you ever go for this in the end Toxic?
I was in talks about getting the monster 310mm Audi S3 brakes off ebay, but chickened out and have gone for a new set of 286mm cupra rears now! just wandered if anyone had retro fitted any of these to a non FR Altea yet!

I've got some R32 rear calipers sat in my garage but just no time to work out fitments/parts etc as rebuilding front and rear suspension on my GTV.... :)

They are the big boys the same as the S3 rears aren't they?

And is the GTV one of those 3.2 Alfa's? [B)]

Looking through ETKA the cars up to 2007 all have the same hub assembly, having said that there is also only one carrier p/n under the rear brakes which covers both the 255 and 286mm brakes

Think the only way to find out whether they fit is to have them apart, i have the 312's waiting to go on the front which should just squeeze under the standard 16's but we'll see....
