Wow that looks amazing! Almost wish I didn't get a red LC now :( really changes the back of the leon, did you use Lamin-x??

Get some green bulbs and your indicators will flash orange, i sed lamin-x on my old Golf lights that had the red film on and used the green bulbs and hey presto, orange flashing indicators. Them red rears look tempting, may invest in some lamin-x

Right was thinking of changing the rear light's as I'm getting a bit bored with them, came across these in a picture.

I was thinking using Lamin-x or something to cover the lenses, what does everyone think?
Red on red too much??

They are my lights tinted up, can see the square of leds.

thats the link i posted up, however having spoke to Neil at Lamin-x .co.uk, he advises that you should use LEDs, and has sent me a pm regarding it. Ill try and get him on here to clarify. Disclaimer, the green bulbs that I posted up worked on my Mk2 golf, I cant guarantee it will work on any other car

How do lads, I was pointed this way by Oldskool.

I can confirm that in the UK, the reverse lights aren't part of the MOT, but this will obviously differ for the rest of the world.

Regards the indicators, we used to supply the green bulbs but they were a little hit and miss.

The problem is that every model/light has a different reflector size/shape/design and the green bulbs only tended to give an adequate orange/yellow colour 50% of the time, so we stopped selling them.

Yellow LED bulbs with the relevant resistors work much more of the time, but please do be sure to buy good quality ones. They should have both forward and side facing LED's as pictured above in Oldskools post.

Be sure not to mount any resistors on/near plastic as they get very hot. They basically imitate a 21w bulb.

I hope this helps.
Neil.

I will be doing this asap, any preference on make or place to buy from?

Cheers for your input

I put some on my passat headlights, best thing is to heat it up using a hairdryer/heat gun, gently and it goes floppy, makes it easier, then squeeze out any bubbles, dont worry if there are any smaller ones as i believe that the film is breathable so bubbles do eventually work them selves out. This is what i did, however best to check with Neil at lamin-x.co.uk
