Hi.
I bought my Stylance at the end of January, beginning of February the rear passenger window stopped working, took the car back to dealers they diagnosed window switch, waited 4 weeks, took car back, fitted switch, no change:think: .
Next they said it was the driver door switch, waited 6 weeks, fitted switches, no change:cry:.
Next guess was passenger window motor, waited 3 weeks, fitted motor last Friday, no change,:wtf:.
Next one was drivers door window motor, which i am still waiting for.
I phoned Seat customer services on Friday they got back to me today saying that this problem has came up before, they sent out e-mails to all dealers and posted fault on their technical database.
Anyone think i have a case for some sort of compensation for the inconvenience of 4 trips to the dealers when the information was available to them.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like a loose wire to me. Probably where the loom goes through the hinge area. They have bigh block connctores behind the rubber sleeve, and maybe that isn't fully clicked home.

I had the same problem with my car in December. The rear passenger window would not work from the drivers window control panel. Took 3 visits to fix it, the dealer admitted that the new control box hadn't been synchronised to the car (that's why it had locked me out, and none of the windows worked [:@] ). I think the ECU didn't recognise it, and went into "lock you out mode"!

That could be a reason why fitting new window control units haven't worked for you.

ok.
Thanks i'll let you know the outcome when it's sorted (if & when).
