Rear Wiper Blade

has anyone got a clue how to change the rear wiper blade on a Leon? went to a well known motor accessories shop today, bought the blade and payed them to fit it but after ten minutes they said they didnt know how and didnt want to force anything just in case they broke it and also said to bring it to my main dealer (which aint gonna happen). anyone know of any guides etc. i did try a search but i'm new to the site so not completely familiar with how everything works just yet...

I would imagine its like the MK5 Golf one & a dealer only spares item .......

If their the same as the 9n3 Polo then there is a button you push and the blade comes out.
Very good design. Much better than standard types.

must have a proper look at it myself. rang a stealer aboput it there...scary for something so small...

Were did you manage to find one at I searched at good old Halfrauds and they do not have a rear wiper listed?

The wiper blade they brought out was on of their own brand ones, number 27 if that means anything to you(not an expert on the fabulous world of wiper blades). they were stumped on how to get the old one off

Rear wiper blade removal

Very simple indeed. Lift the black plastic arm away from the rear screen and you will see that the actual blade will rock in the arm. Rock the blade one way or the other until one end of the blade is resting against the inside of the plastic cover. Then just gently pull the free end away from the cover and it will pop out. Grip the blade towards the centre as opposed to at the end. If you look at the blade you will see a pivot bar half way along the metal part of the blade. That pivot bar merely slots into two recesses inside the black plastic cover. To replace the blade merely line the pivot bar up with the recesses and press back into place.
