Hey peeps,

Not to jinx myself by posting this (i hope) but just recently I've been seeing something I can't explain.

Usually, I'd be lucky to see around 330-350 miles to a tank of petrol. Over the last month or so, I am now getting around 370-400 miles to a tank!!!!

Another thing - I seem to be holding boost for longer, and reaching higher peak-boost too... (22psi ish max)

NOTHING has changed on the car recently (bar 1 rear tyre) and it's still got the same modifications as before. I've not adjusted anything with the SPS - in fact the only thing I've done is clean it less frequently!

Is this a sign that these cars DO get better with age?? I'm coming up to 87k miles, I'm doing exactly the same journeys/routes as before...

Anyone got any ideas? I'm just interested, thats all - I don't want to change it!!!! :funk::funk::funk:

Did you pump your tyres up when you changed your rear tyre? If the pressures are low you might lose some efficiency.

lol... good suggestions peeps! :D

Tyres are always checked for pressure - and I always keep them at around 32-34psi.

Engine bay is clear of all those magnet thingy's! :D

Your getting more action in the bedroom area and not so frustrated therefore not driving so fast.
OR....
The GREAT British weather is chilling you out so not driving so hard

I know !!!

Pick me!!

Is it that your wife has not been driving?(or GF or anyone1 else who isnt the owner or cares...)

Interestingly I just bought one of that digital tyre pressure gauges
and my tyres are showing 30.5 PSI when I inflated them to 33 PSI at a garage
I know that the garage gauges wouldn't be correct but didn't think it would be that far out!!

I WISH!!!!! In fact, I'd go so far as to say I've had NO action! :'(

Far from it - i'm rather stressed at the moment so I'd expect my driving to be more, erm, agressive!

I'd have thought that the garage gauge is likely to be the more accurate of the two, as they'll not want to be sued if someone has an accident after using their gear.

Come on man................................whats the answer.............................
I'll never sleep tonight till we get to the back of this, lol
I'm getting 33 mpg compared to 25 - 26 average......
but thats due to me needing the timing belt changed and freaking out about it snapping before I get to Star performance tomorrow
