Because there are a lot off complains about the media system reboots by itself sometimes thwre is now a solition.

Updated my Seat Leon KL with a new software version 1940. Now the reboot issues will be over. Driving for a few days now en no reboot. Also did the car off my mate also.

So iff you have issues with your mediasysteem you can get this update. There is a TPI at the dealer or do it yourself.

Been on 1940 for a week now with similar experiences, no reboots so far. Also got an OTA update right after updating to 1940. Time will tell if the issue is gone now.

My local Seat dealership told that there is a software in works but no release date as of yet. I was on 1898 before.

Nice. Has the same rebooting glitch. Will contact my dealer and demand an update

The newest software my dealer had was 1898 which had the rebooting issue. Drove me crazy.

Well, I doubt this will be available at dealers for a while. Mine booked for yearly service next week, so asked for latest update, but fully expect only 1898 installed (currently on A896).

You might be right. Mine went from 1896 to 1899 in March and that's when all the problems started. It's booked in for 4th July to, hopefully get it sorted!

In the end my dealers didn't do any updates as the system didn't show any compulsory updates from A896 and I didn't press hard enough on the issue beforehand.

I do wonder though - what is people's problem with the warranty? Surely, if you brick the unit whilst upgrading whether you in or out of warranty - you have to pay anyway the same amount of money for replacement. So what's the downside of doing this within the warranty?

If it's in warranty, it's the dealer's job to upgrade it if it's causing issues for you. If they brick it, it's on them to fix it for you.

I was told 'if they find anything that "I" might have caused the infotainment issues' then it may not be covered under warranty. No way I'll use the 'diy' update whilst in the warranty period.

Does anyone know if this is out at dealers yet ? I'm not getting my car until back end of this year (so I'm hoping that the car comes with the most up to date software ! As everyone is making it seem like a nightmare !) Hoping these issues are gone by the time I get it.

No they will update you to 1898 - you will ave plenty time for your car to come so assuming you be already on 1940 or further

My Leon still on 1896, but from one or two month ago using the infotainment is like a nightmare! Before there was some system reboots by itself, but now it's horrible. I don't know if it's worse because of some updates on android auto app, but is really bad. Today I had to reboot the system while was driving because it was impossible to start the A/C...
I hope the update 1940 could fix this...
