right i got it today, only thing is does this look different? the blades yes there are 8, but the ones ive seen are not 'swooped but straigh looking blades usually, just want to check these are all fine??

well what would cause it to go out of shape exactly. they all seem at the same angle, there is no play in it etc? would it be worth fitting to see or what?

i've never seen one like this before, where did you get it from? dont know about fitting it, may cause more harm then good?

your best bet is asking bill(badger5), he will be able to point you in the right direction as to what it is etc.
they looked melted/warped dont suppose you know the history? dont suppose you know if you bought it from a fire damaged car etc.?
surely the rest of the turbo would have signs of damage/melting also.
does it spool freely?
depends if it was cleaned off thouroughly or not could allways of missed the blades??? just a suggestion thats all

The blades look like they have been rubbing on the housing. Is there much play in the shaft? I would get your money back.
where did you get it do u no much history from where it came from the internals look like some kind of custom job. Although by the look of the blades they look like they seen some high temperatures. Will have a look online when i get a bit of time see if i cant find out anything i have seen curved blades before but not on these been on big turbo's to affect spool up time etc...get's very complex...lol...
yeh well i asked him all the questions and sent a link to this thread, guy seems decent, also ive done it via paypal so would win in a dispute as item wasnt as described, where the original tip sits on the end he says he never checked, its the first thing i did when i recieved it lol took it off expecting to see it how it would normally appear and found this! gutted
oh well im looking to buy a tt now anyway, car is for sale
