now this is a long shot, the last 3 times i have had my car fault codes cleared, the engine light has come back on 3 times, each time after re-fueling.not 5-10 mins of driving away from a petrol station, its come back on.approx 4 days after clearing codes.sometimes by vag-com(cheers chemical -al) sometimes by skoda main dealer.
so far its been lambda 1(i have no doubt that tonights is too),lambda 1 has been replaced.
my options so far by dealership have been:
pay 3 hours labour to check wiring to an from lambda to ecu to see if wiring is shagged.
if wiring is ok replace ecu :roflmao: if wiring is shagged pay 600quid + to fix
MY idea was to exchange lambda FOC as this may be and for all intense and purpose is still faulty(fault code says so thats why they cahnged it).

we are now DESPERATE to get the car fixed with as little outlay as possible to sell it/px for a tdi.

really really need some of that cupranet help here guys.
some really nice toledo 130 and 150's on at the moment and not a pot to piss in

Ive had a similer issue with mines but with post lambda sensor, replaced it twice but stil no luck. my faults were internal resiatnce too high, they few months later another fault, stating no activity.

Weesejase what fault did you get?

im struggling to understand the original entry.
Are you saying that immediately after refueling the light comes on. That is to say:
Park up to refuel with no light.
Turn off car
Fill up with fuel.
Turn on ignition and light is on straight away before driving away?

or is it at some point down the road after refueling?

a long shot:
filling with fuel lowers car slightly which may pull on the wires?
exhaust heats up and expands, pulling on wires? then when you turn off ignition and then on again the initial reading from sensor is effected?
a bit of both?

Do you *need* to fix it? If you are part-exing the car can you not just clear the fault code before you take the car in to be valued and exchanged?
At least you've got ~ 4 days grace before the light comes back on.

Jase can you remember if it was showing
Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold

without a separate Lambda fault code?

not on the one i have dave no
i can't see it being the load of fuel,my wife put 20quids worth last night(20kgs) she was on her own, earlier she had the 2 kids and myself in the car,i'm well over 20kgs over 3 times over.

or is it at some point down the road after refueling
she filled the car with no light, halfway home the light came on.
i am stumped.
si,your suggestion is ok,but i am known for my bad luck and shite timing,my cordoba abs light came on when it was driven into the MOT testing bay
i am going back to skoda and ask them to take back the lambda under warranty, fit another, and take my chances.i just hate not knowing what it is.[:@]
