As always... BMC CDA carbon fibre, enclosed induction kit, with a cold feed into the wing - it doesn't get any better... Or indeed more expensive! ;o)

Depsite what others have said, I ran a RamAir open cone induction kit on a Revo'd 115 PD for over 30,000 miles with no problems, or indeed MAF failure!

I find with feeding the power in smoothly progressivley at lower speeds, but still accelerating hard - i dont get much smoke.. when the turbo is then fully awake around 3k and above i mash the throttle into the carpet and no smoke. :D

Works for me.

i had a custom code map, which smoked at full throttle, but only noticeable at night, with headlights behind.

Also smoked at WOT below 2k revs.

Hi mate sorry only just noticed this thread, I have the same problem i can clean my car drive to mk and back (25miles) and the car will look like i haven't cleaned it for a week i am currently cleaning the car about 3 times a week at the moment whatever you do DON'T buy a miltek lol that sits flush with the rear bumper and makes the problem 10X worse as i found out when i bought mine but to be honest its a diesel and its going to smoke its just a nightmare having a yellow car as it covers the yellow instantly, ince i have had the big turbo it has got worse aswell lol but depends what you want clean and slower or fast and dirty (i know that sounds bad but....LOL)

Just a vid of one of the most powerful Ibizas (6k2 with PD130 lump) around here in Portugal (+260bhp) and a "light-weight" body.
Pure diesel power (without silly gasses):

Do you reckon it smokes a bit...? :headhurt:

Well, you can make few extra horses by this way, but maybe he ought to measure his EMP and EGT. :cartman:

It's Ok to do that on dyno and at 1/4 mile, but that overfueling is going to brake something...

My van was at least as bad earlier (in the midlle of a sunny day I did see people using their wipers behind me[B)]), but we found out some crucial things to do to avoid smoking (and convert that smoke to power). Now I make some 75hp more but smoke is just barely detectable (no gasses or anything). So maybe it's time to increase fueling...

Well I think it's pretty well known fact that a diesel engine makes max power with a bit of overfueling, although I agree that too much fueling can cause damage - and not only to the environment...

This beezer has been recorded at 278kph (174mph) on a GPS device, so I guess the (over)fueling is getting results on the road - always with plain good old pump regular diesel...

A vid of this beezer vs a scooby STI tuned to 350bhp:

I hope I was wrong about those EGTs too. Now my van smokes like tyre fire :flamed:, has 2,1bar boost with EMP in control and moves fast...

I would say that the smoke on that dyno session video is quite small...
Is it a good thing that I can switch off the headlights on every vehicle that's behind me...?:D

Just watched the video of the ibiza, My comment wrong, I used to mecanically tune my old 306 td, and you got no praises for just upping the fueling, Clearly its not working at its optimum. Ipressive figures, but you would not get me driving it. just my opion .

Mine with remaped jabba stage 2 was smoking bad, so put it down to slight over fueling, I then came across millers diesel additive. Problem solved!!! Highly recommend.

What is the Miller additive that you're using exactly, since there are a few different kinds around, such as:

- Millers Diesel Power-Plus
- Diesel Power Sport 4

About the (over)fuelling matter, my old beezer GT TDI110 just with a simple tuning box added regulated at max setting, that did little beyond increasing fueling netted a pleasant 20bhp/60Nm gain at the rr. Standard turbo boost level.
I admit though that some diesel engines do not respond in the same manner to increased fueling.

PS - I wouldn't drive that smoking beezer either. Maybe a few bottles of Miller diesel additive would do some good!
