Mine's fitted, took me three hours

Bit of a bugger of a job.

Mine doesn't seem to want to switch between modes. Given up as its pi$$ing down But it works.

Next week......

You have moved the jumper on the main box havent you?

Scott

Have sent you an email as you suggest.

I haven't tried switching between modes, but when the guy who fitted did he said the horn dod not sound nor did the lights flash.

The main problem I am having is unlocking the doors. Approach the car, press once(in one touch power pack mode) and mirrors unfold/drivers door unlocks. Press again and the the remaining doors don't unlock. Also a couple of times on the second press all the windows roll down. What can i do?

Regards

Andy

How have you guy's got the wire from the Autowindow box through into the cabin?????

ie how did and which grommets did you go through??

Programming tips

Before putting the driver's door together, if you want to change modes reposition the lockout jumper.

Your car may or may not flash its signals and honk at this same time - depending on its comfort module settings.

So, with the panel still off, follow all the programming steps carefully while *watching* the AutoWindow status LED. It will begin to pulse once per second as you are waiting the 15 seconds holding the lock button down, and then the status LED will come on "solid". When the status LED lights solid for a few seconds is your opportunity to press UNLOCK to change the mode. After changing the mode, the status LED will blink rapidly a few times to show the change has taken effect, you are now running in the next mode.

If your car does not flash its signals and honk, you won't be able to tell when to press UNLOCK to change modes once the door panel is put back on... unless you can see the status LED on the module by popping off the window switch console and peeking inside the door at the module. A mirror may come in handy.

Or you can also "program in the blind" by learning exactly how many seconds of holding the LOCK button is required. This is not hard to learn if you connect the alarm LED and count the number of *alarm blinks* after pressing LOCK until the status LED comes on solid. Conveniently, the alarm blinks at 1 Hz, or once per second. Again, this is best done during install with the panel half-on so you can easily see everything. The number of alarm blinks will become your guide as to when to let go of LOCK and press UNLOCK to change mode. You'll find it is easier to err on the long side of the count, keep holding for that "extra" blink because you do have about 5 seconds of opportunity to punch UNLOCK.

After attempting to change mode, open and close door (resets AutoWindow) and try a command that illustrates the mode to see if you nailed the timing right and changed the mode successfully, try again if not.

Much of this tip is only necessary if your car does not flash the signals and honk the alarm horn at the prescribed time.

OK, so now I am starting to get a bit concerned that I have not recived my box of tricks. It has been three months since I ordered it now! Has everyone else who ordered theirs received them? I did not pay for express delivery but this is ridiculous!! How long does it take to send something over the Atlantic??

I've not got mine yet either.

I think I'll chase it up tomorrow, as I'm a bit busy today

For those of you still waiting, they were shipped on the back of an underwater snail at the end of Jan. If the snail can hold it's breath long enough then they should be here by Mid March. ;)

I am sorry that regular delivery by post is holding true to its reputation... the post office says 4 to 5 weeks. I bet the ones that were not by air, are going by boat. I should put a stronger "advisory" on the order page to alert people that are in any kind of rush to use the express delivery option.. for 3 GBPs extra is sure gets there quicker.

Cool! Thanks for the update Samm, and Scott.

I'm not in a rush at the moment, as I've not got time to fit it, plus I'm going to wait for the warmer weather cause I don't like the cold :(
