ive found this on the leon forum?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now with out spending lots of money on alientech or autowindows you can now open and close your windows with your remote keyfob...

Just need a laptop with serial connection, or a long ass serial extension cable from your desktop, a copy of VDc_pro which i will provide a link to if requested, and a serial version of the vag-com cable (i think 2002 and newer leons require the dual kkl cable £14 off ebay)...

And use the following instructions:

You can't do this from any windows version (Dos only!), with any USB interface or with VAG-COM or a VW 1551 tester.

Use the following procedure to reprogram the module

1. start vds from boot disk + turn ignition on(not start car)
2. connect to central convenience (46)
3. start login procedure (11)
4. use the code 19283
5. read serial eeprom (26)

Check memory locations:
04361
04362
04363

They should show up with 2 lines of values just look at the 1st value on the dec04361 line it should read 10

for all 3 memory locations the 1st value should be 10

6. write serial eeprom (27)

you then type in the 3 memory address again:
04361
04362
04363

and put the new value as 2

You can now read serial eeprom (26) again to check that the 1st value in the memory address's has been changed to 2

7. end output (06)

close and exit program disconnect from car.

Now exit your car and lock it. When you now open your car with the keyfob and hold the button the windows should start to roll down and stop when you lift your finger. Also when you lock the car now and hold the button down the windows will go up(close) until you lift your finger off the button...

And hey presto you got remote windows!!!

Going to look into only making the front windows go up/down, i don't usually like having the rear windows open.

hey thats my info lol, but dunno if it will help any ibiza owners out... 1st need to get part numbers for the conveniece module...

Most of that info was acheived by asking the inventor of the kvw100 module what blocks it was changing and what to...

There is a rough list of conveniece modules and values to be used so some of you's should post up your part numbers....

i've emailed the sellers of the KVW100 to check compatibility with my car, and they say it won't work!? Surely if i can close the windows with the key on the lock, there must be a way to turn on this feature??

Removing autowindow

I have been thinking of removing my autowindow reflex from my mk4 Ibiza Cupra, just beacause of the messy lots of cables and some bugs on the program that makes you hate it from time to time. :censored:

This is great information, but i was wondering if could be possible to fold and unfold mirrors :funk:

Thanks

You have 2 options on the windows.
1) the cheaper and easier method of buying the KVW100 unit. £25. 2 mins to install.
Or
2) The autowindows kit. £70(ish). Hours to fit if your a novice. run the risk of messing up electrics.
Vagcom won't allow this option.

From personal experience I'd rather go with the AutoWindow kit. Sure it needs some hardware adjustments/tweaks but it also will never screw your comfort control module as it has been seen from the KVW100...

What faults have you seen from from this unit?
I've not heard of any myself, but if someones control module has been damaged by this then it's good to warn people.

You need Vag-Tacho, or VDS-Pro to do this, Vag-Com does not work.

Vag-Tacho manual can be found here:

There is a load of info on the MKIV's forum:

Also, you can get leads from eBay

On the Golfs/Audi's you can also set the miles to empty feature, not sure about Seat though.
