Removal of front wipers

Hi guys,

I have looked at various threads regarding wiper removal and most are about rear wipers. The others are about Leon MK2's where the wiper fixing nuts have left and right hand threads. Do the MK1's have right and left hand threads and if so which is which?

standard threads mate, then the wiper arms just need levering or persuading off

You might need a puller, they can be stupidly tight!

Thanks Lee69. I already have puller but was worried that if there were right and left hand threads I would be trying to the undo the undoable.

Dont be too rough getting them off!! i remember reading threads on here about people breaking there windscreens getting the wipers off!!
