Hi guys

Anyone know how to remove the instrument cluster from an Ibiza?

I know I need to:

- Disconnect battery
- Lower the steering column
- Remove airbag + steering wheel

Then what?

Cheers guys.
Chris

No need to remove the steering wheel mate. remove steering column cowling then look for screws tucked up under the instrument cowling. Remove cowling Then there are screws securing the cluster.
What are you doing soldering poor joints because of intermittent gages?

Thanks for the info Nath, will have a bash at it.

I'm putting white gauges in, just like FRs and Cupras have. It's an insert rather than a cluster swap, so I have no VCDS recoding to worry about. :)

I'm assuming just like everything else on this car, they'll all be torx screws?

Yeah, all torx screws. 2 above the cluster, bit of a faff to get to. The cluster goes in and out with the wheel still on. And watch for the cables either side of the cluster, as the green connector can be a PITA.

Thanks for that Jonesy, pictures are really helpful.

May I ask what it is you have done with the rings around your dash? They look painted... are they removeable?
